But that kills kids, too. I'm a neonatal and pediatric ICU nurse and I've taken care of literally hundreds of kids seriously and even fatally injured in commonplace incidents that most parents don't think twice about having to protect their children from.

This article is quite amusing given that everyone I've talked to who watched the speech watched for it's entertainment value only, knowing how incredibly ignorant and deliberately misleading her message is.

Says someone who has obviously never been to LA. My dad refused to visit me and his only grandchild for SEVEN years after we moved to Los Angeles for these very reasons before he finally got the balls to drive in for two whole days from where he was wintering over in Arizona.
